Mind/Body Classes

Attendance at an orientation is required.  Classes are weekly unless otherwise noted.  Please RSVP when indicated.  Comfortable clothing and physician approval recommended.

 

Weekly Classes:

Gentle Yoga

Mondays, 10 - 11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. led by Kym Sevilla, ERYT, AHFS, CET
Wednesdays, 10 - 11 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., led by Susan Murray Young, MS, RYT

These classes combine stretching, breathing, and relaxation exercises to help improve muscle tone, aid in stress management, and promote a sense of well-being.

 

Inner Peace & Healing

Tuesdays, 10 - 11 a.m.

While living with cancer, inner resources are often depleted.  Join energy healer Afie Lattimer as she provides information, insights, and exercises to increase a sense of inner peace and personal empowerment. 

 

Pink Ribbon Pilates

Wednesdays, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.

Jill Studley, Certified Pilates Instructor, leads this class for breast cancer survivors with the assistance of Ann Hallman. Healthy lifestyle and positive body image are part of the experience as participants are challenged to regain strength and mobility.   

 

Knitting, Stitch & Chat

Fridays, 10 - 11 a.m.

Kathryn Winsberg, with 42 years  of knitting experience and endless patience, leads this weekly group. In addition to knitting, lovers of all forms of stitch craft and handiwork are welcome to attend. Experience is not required.

 

Guided Mindful Meditation

Fridays, 11:30 am -12:30 pm

May Benatar, PhD, LCSW-C leads this weekly group.  Modern science has confirmed that a meditation practice actually changes the brain, strengthens immunity, reduces anxiety, and lowers blood pressure.  Join May and learn the skill that once acquired will benefit you in mind, body and spirit.


Monthly Classes:

Reiki Share

2nd Thursday of each month, 11a.m. - Noon

Reiki Master Susan Kilbourn provides an understanding of the principles of Reiki and techniques for individuals to achieve healing effects through self-treatment.

 

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)

3rd Thursday of each month, 11:00 a.m. - Noon

Lynne Shaner, advanced EFT practitioner, will provide instruction in EFT to help manage and reduce stress and pain, on both the physical and emotional level.

 

Drumming – Special Program

Monday, June 25, 2-4 p.m. Ancient rhythm techniques have been shown to accelerate physical healing, boost the immune system and produce feelings of well-being. Join multi-instrumentalist Stream Ohrstrom, as he leads a program of healing rhythms. RSVP required.
