This professionally facilitated support group is for individuals who have lost a loved one to cancer. Learn new ways of coping and connect with others who are going through a similar experience.

Chair yoga is a gentle yoga practice accessible to participants of any level of strength and flexibility. Using a chair to modify traditional yoga poses, the class is done while seated, or standing and using the chair for support. Every class includes stretches and movement geared to help increase strength, endurance and flexibility. Classes also focus on breathing and meditation, which can reduce anxiety, lower the blood pressure, and benefit your emotional wellbeing and overall health.

Acupuncturist, Dr. Tierra Hardin, with Nobel Integrative Health, will be offering auriculotherapy acupuncture on the first Tuesday of every month from 12:30-2:00 PM. Auriculotherapy (ear) acupuncture focuses on anxiety, pain, and stress. A wavier must be signed at the start of class. |

Functional Fitness is all about exercises that helps you do the things you do every day—like lifting, bending, reaching, and walking—with more ease and confidence. We’ll use things like bodyweight, dumbbells, and bands to help build strength, balance, and flexibility. Great for all fitness levels, and perfect if you want to feel good and stay active.

Hypnosis has been shown to decrease pain, anxiety and stress as well as other symptoms related to cancer treatment. Certified hypnotherapist Don Pelles will teach self-hypnosis techniques that will assist in the management of these symptoms.

A special day dedicated to women experiencing or anticipating hair loss due to cancer treatment. On Thursday, November 20, Hope Connections for Cancer Support, in partnership with The Temple Annapolis & Frederick, a Paul Mitchell Partner School, and EBeauty, will be welcoming participants at our Hope Connections home in Bethesda for a day of free wigs, wig styling, wig care advice, and mini makeovers. Lunch is included, and spaces are filling quickly! |
