Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that is practiced as a system of exercise, and that consists of a series of postures performed slowly and continuously with relaxed abdominal breathing. It is sometimes called moving meditation and it can be practiced without any special equipment. It’s sure to help with joint flexibility, balance and calming the mind.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle yoga practice accessible to participants of any level of strength and flexibility. Using a chair to modify traditional yoga poses, the class is done while seated, or standing and using the chair for support. Every class includes stretches and movement geared to help increase strength, endurance and flexibility. Classes also focus on breathing and meditation, which can reduce anxiety, lower the blood pressure, and benefit your emotional wellbeing and overall health.

This monthly support group is designed for adults diagnosed with cancer who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. The group is facilitated by a culturally competent social worker, who provides a safe space to connect with others and explore your own unique experience with cancer.

Caregivers are welcome to attend with their loved one.
