  • Tai Chi

    Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that is practiced as a system of exercise, and that consists of a series of postures performed slowly and continuously with relaxed abdominal breathing. It is sometimes called moving meditation and it can be practiced without any special equipment. It’s sure to help with joint flexibility, balance and calming the mind.

    This professionally facilitated support group is for individuals who have lost a loved one to cancer. Learn new ways of coping and connect with others who are going through a similar experience.

  • Chair Yoga

    Recurring

    Chair yoga is a gentle yoga practice accessible to participants of any level of strength and flexibility. Using a chair to modify traditional yoga poses, the class is done while seated, or standing and using the chair for support. Every class includes stretches and movement geared to help increase strength, endurance and flexibility. Classes also focus on breathing and meditation, which can reduce anxiety, lower the blood pressure, and benefit your emotional wellbeing and overall health.

    These classes combine stretching, breathing, and relaxation exercises to help improve muscle tone, aid in stress management, and promote a sense of well-being.

    Our Boutique features new and gently used women's clothing and accessories with 100% of our sales going to support the free and professionally led programs offered at Hope Connections. These special programs have been designed to help people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer.

    Facilitator Judy Goldstein provides new opportunities every month for participants to express themselves through art. No art experience is necessary.

  • Everyday Nutrition During and After Cancer Treatment

    Learn practical, evidence-based nutrition strategies to support your health during and after cancer treatment.
    This session will explore how everyday food choices can help manage treatment side effects, promote recovery, maintain strength and energy, and support long-term
    wellness.

  • Functional Movement

    Recurring

    Functional Fitness is all about exercises that helps you do the things you do every day—like lifting, bending, reaching, and walking—with more ease and confidence. We’ll use things like bodyweight, dumbbells, and bands to help build strength, balance, and flexibility. Great for all fitness levels, and perfect if you want to feel good and stay active.

    This professionally facilitated support group is for individuals diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Learn new ways of coping and connect with others who are going through a similar experience.

  • The Healing Power of Creativity

    Discover how creative expression can support emotional wellbeing, reduce stress, and foster resilience throughout the cancer journey.
    This interactive session will explore simple expressive arts practices that can help participants process emotions, find meaning, and cultivate connection, hope, and healing.

    Larry Bricker will help us tune into our senses, using nature, to create relaxation and revitalization. We hope you will join us! Please note, in bad weather, we will bring nature inside.
